Man, this was a hard one to shoot. How does one get so much information in a reasonable length of a video lesson? Seriously, before editing this it was about 30 minutes long. But here it is, condensed and to the point (I hope). This lesson explores and exploits the advantage of having a G5 chord within the standard tuning, and I lead you step by step into riff creation and improvisation, turning a simple G minor lick into a chromatic riff, then adding things like tapping, slide, pinch harmonics, a bit of fretboard logic, and tons of ideas you can steal right away. Whew. There’s a lot to digest here, but I think I covered what I intended to cover. More lessons to come in this area, as well as the lessons for some of the techniques mentioned in the video.
